Make A Blinkie Sign
This tutorial will teach you how to create the blinkie signs like New!, Updated!, and Revamp!.

1. Open up Animation Shop.

2. Make a blank document around the size of 100x50 pixels, and make it transparent.

3. Pick a color you'd like to be the lining of the text. You can choose some great colors by checking out our Color Schemes. I chose #70D6F8. Fill the document with that.

4. Next, pick your second color that will be the color of the text. I chose #000000. Type in whatever you'd like. This is what it should look like:

5. Now I crop the image around the text. Make sure there is at least one pixel surrounding the text:

6. Start to erase left over blue pixel spaces. But make sure you leave one pixel surrounding the text!

7. Finally, we'll animate the text. There's several different ways. I'm going to seperate it into THREE ways.

The First Way

8.a Take your image and just change the color of the text. I chose to use the color #E79EF4 for the color. In order to do that, do ctrl + c and then shift + ctrl + l. That should duplicate your text into another frame.

8.b Fill your text the color that you chose before, and then click this to preview the newly animated text.

The Second Way

9.a Take your image and change the color one letter at a time. I'm using the same color: #E79EF4. In order to do that, do ctrl + c and then shift + ctrl + l. That should duplicate your text into another frame, do that everytime you want to change a letter's color.

9.b Fill your text one letter at a time, and then click this to preview the newly animated text.

The Third Way

10.a Do the same thing as if you were animating just one letter at a time, except with the little symbol you put in front of the letter, like in mine I put a star. I'm still using #E79EF4.

10.b Fill the symbol once, in order to do that, do ctrl + c and then shift + ctrl + l. That should duplicate your text into another frame. Click this to preview the newly animated text.

NOTICE! Get funky, animate however you'd like. There's so many ways, those were just the basic ideas.

That's it! Questions? Feel free to email us or ask questions if you need help.
