1. On the right side of your Photoshop screen, you should see the "Actions" Window. If you do not, just go to Window >> Actions, and the Actions window should appear.
2. Now, in the actions window, at the bottom right there should be a note pad. This is the "Create New Action" options. Click that memo pad.
3. Now a prompt box with the title "New Action" will pop up. When it does, name the action what you want it to be called and the select where you want it to be saved to. I suggest just leaving it in the "Default Actions" folder. Click OK.
4. Now Photoshop is recording everything you do, so perform all the steps you need to take to create whatever you are making. And make sure not to make any mistakes, because you can't fix them while you are recording.
5. When you are done recording all your steps, click the "Stop Button" in the Actions Window (the square on the very left).
There you go! You've just made your first action! If you ever want to use it, just search for the title you named the action in the Default Actions folder in the Actions Window, and click play (the little arrow, third to the right).
